No Matter what you're cooking, it always tastes better when you use the freshest ingredients. How can you get fresher than locally grown?
Here are some of our favorite recipes. Give them a try with your family.
Grammy's Stuffed Peppers
2- lb. ground beef
4- T chopped onion
2- t. salt
1/4- t. garlic salt
2- c. cooked rice (uncooked if using Minute Rice)
1- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
2- 6 oz. cans tomato paste
6-8 large OR 10-12 average-sized peppers.
Preheat oven to 350. Cook onion in oil. Add ground beef & brown. Drain off excess grease. Add tomato paste & sauce. Add rice.
Boil water in a large pot. Put in peppers, bring to a boil. Run cold water over them, drain.
Stuff beef, sauce, paste & rice mixture into each pepper. Put in a baking dish and cook for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Zucchini-Oatmeal Cookies
Cream together:
1/2 cup butter or margerine
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
Add and mix until well blended:
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup grated zucchini
Stir in:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal (rolled oats)
1 cup raisins or craisins
1 cup nuts (optional)
Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet (use parchment paper or grease
baking sheet LIGHTLY as they tend to stick). Bake at 375º. Smaller
cookies take about 14-15 minutes; larger ones might take up to 18
minutes. They should be lightly browned when done. Let cool for a
minute on the tray before moving them to a cooling rack.
